La mattina della vigilia di Natale, domenica 24 dicembre 2023, SAQ Grimeton era in onda, per inviare il tradizionale messaggio natalizio a tutto il mondo, utilizzando l'alternatore Alexanderson da 200 kW del 1924, su 17,2 kHz CW.

SAQ Alexanderson Day 2023

SAQ to air on Alexanderson Day 2023

The historical Alexanderson alternator SAQ, from 1924 did perform very well on Alexanderson Day 2023 and was able to air on two separate transmissions. The weather forcast said rain but only a few showers could be seen during the day and the temperature was around 20C. Lots of visitors was enjoying the two transmissions, the guided technical tours, the antenna walk, as well as all the other activities.

The transmitter hall was filled with spectators, many who had travelled a long way to participate.

 Ricevuto il programma musicale di Radio Farda – via trasmettitore di Woffertton, England.

Il giorno 9 maggio 2023 alle 13.56 UTC, a 12005 kHz in modo AM, ho ascoltato Radio Farda con programma in Persiano.

Radio Farda è l'emittente in lingua persiana di Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, che fornisce programmi radiofonici 24 ore su 24, 7 giorni su 7 per l'Iran su più piattaforme, comprese trasmissioni di segnali satellitari a onde corte che coprono completamente l'Iran. Inoltre, Farda ha un programma televisivo mattutino di un'ora sul satellite, "Breakfast with News".

Per l'ascolto ho utilizzato il ricevitore SDRplay RSPdx, antenna T2FD da 14,5 m inverted vee (autocostruita), qualità del segnale ottimo.

95° Anniversario della Tenda Rossa

Il 25 maggio 2023 alle ore 08.53 UTC sulla frequenza di 14022 kHz banda 20 m, in modalità CW, ho ricevuto dal Museo della Scienza e dalla Tecnologia di Milano, il messaggio in occasione del 95° Anniversario della Tenda Rossa.

Il testo ricevuto è il seguente:

Per l'ascolto ho utilizzato il ricevitore SDRplay RSPdx e il software RSPuno abbinati ad un PC Intel Core i7-4771 CPU 3.5 Ghz, l’antenna esterna è una Terminate Folded Dipole (T2FD) da 14,5 m installata inverted vee (autocostruita).

La decodifica del messaggio in CW è stata effettuata con il software Fldigi 4.1.26.

 Ricevuto il programma di Europarl Radio – via Channel 292 da Rohrbach Waal (Germany).

Il giorno 6 maggio 2023 alle 09.02 UTC, a 9670 kHz in modo AM, ho ascoltato l’Europe Day Show di Europarl Radio, Europarl Radio è un progetto della Direzione Generale della Traduzione del Parlamento Europeo.

Di solito presenta i suoi programmi multilingue online su https://en.audio.europarl.europa.eu/main/pub/home.

È la prima volta nella storia che i programmi preparati dal personale del Parlamento Europeo vengono trasmessi su onde corte, con l'aiuto del partner, la stazione radio Channel 292 in Baviera, Germania. L’intenzione è incoraggiare più persone a interessarsi al Parlamento Europeo, ai suoi membri, alle attività e in particolare alle prossime elezioni europee del 2024.

Radio Station WWV 15 MHz

15 MHz WWV Broadcast

NIST radio station WWV broadcasts time and frequency information 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to millions of listeners worldwide. WWV is located near Fort Collins, Colorado, about 100 kilometers north of Denver. The broadcast information includes time announcements, standard time intervals, standard frequencies, UT1 time corrections, a BCD time code, and geophysical alerts.

Broadcast Frequencies

WWV operates in the high frequency (HF) portion of the radio spectrum. The station radiates 10 000 W on 5 MHz, 10 MHz, and 15 MHz; and 2500 W on 2.5 MHz and 20 MHz. Each frequency is broadcast from a separate transmitter. Although each frequency carries the same information, multiple frequencies are used because the quality of HF reception depends on many factors such as location, time of year, time of day, the frequency being used, and atmospheric and ionospheric propagation conditions. The variety of frequencies makes it likely that at least one frequency will be usable at all times.

Antennas

The WWV antennas are half-wave vertical antennas that radiate omnidirectional patterns. There are antennas at the station site for each frequency. Each antenna is connected to a single transmitter using a rigid coaxial line, and the site is designed so that no two coaxial lines cross. Each antenna is mounted on a tower that is approximately one half-wavelength tall. The tallest tower, for 2.5 MHz, is about 60 m tall. The shortest tower, for 20 MHz, is about 7.5 m tall. The top half of each antenna is a quarter-wavelength radiating element. The bottom half of each antenna consists of nine quarter-wavelength wires that connect to the center of the tower and slope downwards to the ground at a 45 degree angle. This sloping skirt functions as the lower half of the radiating system and also guys the antenna.

Ho ricevuto dal sito trasmittente di Fort Collins, CO – U.S.A., “15 MHz WWV Broadcast”, il segnale era sufficiente, anche se c'era molto rumore di fondo.

 La stazione radio WWV Fort Collins è a circa 8387 km dal mio QTH

Ricevuto stazione radio facsimile JMH2 a 7795 kHz - 5kW, stazione trasmittente: Kagoshima Broadcast Station, Japan, distante dal mio QTH 9697 km

Immagine meteorologica ricevuta Chart: “48HR SURFACE PRESSURE, WIND, FOG, ICING, SEA ICE PROG” e “48/72HR SURFACE PRESSURE, PRECIPITATION PROGNOSIS" in modalità FAX il giorno 22 marzo 2023, ora 21.00 e 22.00 UTC

Setup di ascolto: ricevitore SDRplay RSPdx + SDRuno software, abbinato ad una PC Intel Core i7-4771 3.5 Ghz e software decodifica FAX Fldigi ver.4.1.22, mentre l'antenna è una filare da 18 m autocostruita in configurazione a delta.
