Radio Station WWV

Experimental 25 MHz WWV Broadcast

WWV has resumed broadcasting on 25 MHz on an experimental basis. The broadcast consists of the normal WWV signal heard on all other WWV frequencies, at the same level of accuracy.

Current 25 MHz Broadcast Specifications

Schedule: typically continuous. As an experimental broadcast, the 25 MHz signal may be interrupted or suspended without notice.

Radiated Power: 2.5 kW

Antenna: half-wave vertical dipole. Coordinates: 40° 40' 50.5" N, 105° 02' 26.6" W

 Ho ricevuto dal sito trasmittente di Fort Collins, CO – U.S.A., l'“Experimental 25 MHz WWV Broadcast”, il segnale era sufficiente, anche se c'era molto rumore di fondo. 

 La stazione radio WWV Fort Collins è a circa 8387 km dal mio QTH

Setup di ascolto: ricevitore SDRplay RSPd, software SDRuno, antenna T2FD (Terminated Two Wire Folded Dipole) 14,5 m (self-built)

SAQ aired on World Radio Day 2023

The 99 year old Alexanderson alternator SAQ was able to spread a peace message to the world on World Radio Day, February 13th, 2023. The weather was beautiful with mild temperatures and sunny. The transmission was initiated at 15.30 CET (14.30 UTC) with the startup and tuning of the Alexanderson alternator. A message was sent out at 16.00 CET (15.00 UTC). 

Morse key operator Kai Sundberg is keying a peace message to the World.
